The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended its directions under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, for Sri Guru Raghavendra Sahakara Bank Niyamitha, Bengaluru, and Urban Co-operative Bank Limited, Dehradun, by three months each. The extension for the Bengaluru bank runs from the close of business on August 10, 2026, until November 10, 2026. Similarly, the Dehradun bank's directive has been extended for the same period. The RBI stated the extensions are in the public interest but cautioned they should not be construed as satisfaction with the banks' financial positions.
