# ReclaimConstitution quiz returns for second edition in 2026 2026-08-27T03:16:37+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet ReclaimConstitution has launched the second edition of its national Constitution quiz for students in Classes 8 to 12. The online preliminary round will be held on 26 November 2026, Constitution Day, and the Grand Finale in Bengaluru on 26 January 2027, Republic Day. The first edition in 2025-26 drew more than 1,500 students forming 500 teams from over 200 schools across 20 States and five Union Territories. Six teams reached the final. Each finalist team received a mini library of 15 books, and the winners an all-expenses-paid trip with a parent to Rashtrapati Bhavan. Teams must have three students. Students from public and private schools, pre-university colleges and home-schooled students are eligible. New participants will receive four preparation books, registration is free for first-edition participants. Registrations are open at www.reclaimconstitution.in. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The second edition comes a year after the first, which suggests the organisers see enough institutional interest to sustain a national format. Participant numbers are still modest relative to India’s school population of over 26 crore, but the spread across 20 States and five Union Territories indicates the quiz reached beyond metropolitan centres. The prize structure is notable: an all-expenses-paid visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan with a parent carries symbolic weight, tying constitutional literacy directly to the Republic’s highest office. Registrations opened now for a preliminary round on Constitution Day 2026, giving schools nearly a year to prepare, a window that could expand reach if promotion efforts match the ambition. ## Coverage - livelaw.in led with the event announcement and participant quotes, no evaluative or critical framing This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
