# Reliance, Rolls-Royce to develop engine for AMCA fighter jet

Reliance Industries and Rolls-Royce on Friday announced plans to jointly develop a sovereign combat engine for India's Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. The companies will also explore setting up an Aerospace Gas Turbine Complex in India to cover design, development, manufacturing, testing, production and through-life support. The partnership combines Rolls-Royce's engine expertise with Reliance's manufacturing scale. Anant Ambani said the move aligns with PM Modi's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
