Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has faced criticism after saying minority students can dismantle and reassemble a Rafale fighter aircraft but struggle to remember lessons from books. He made the remarks at a Minorities Excellence Summit in Hyderabad, while describing such children as skilled labourers and linking them to Industrial Training Institutes. Reddy also said Hindus and Muslims were like his two eyes and cited welfare schemes for minorities, including free electricity for households using up to 200 units a month. The BJP and BRS condemned the comments. BJP leaders called them communal profiling and appeasement, while BRS working president KT Rama Rao described them as prejudicial.
