Actor Rhea Chakraborty has said her father, Indrajit Chakraborty, lost a job as medical superintendent at a hospital in 2020 after his surname was linked to her. Speaking on Farah Khan's YouTube vlog, Rhea said the hospital withdrew the offer after discovering she was his daughter. "Sorry, aap Rhea Chakraborty ke father ho toh aap yaha kaam nahi kar sakte," she recalled being told. Indrajit Chakraborty is a retired army officer and former medical corps administrator. Rhea and her brother Showik were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in a drug case tied to the death of her former boyfriend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput, in 2020. The Central Bureau of Investigation later filed a closure report clearing her of all charges. Rhea has said she suffered from PTSD due to the scrutiny and time in jail. She is currently a contestant on the reality show 'The Traitors' Season 2.
