Rhiya Ahir, who went viral during a student protest in Mumbai in July 2026, and Punjabi actress Love Gill are competing for a spot in the Bigg Boss 20 house. The winner will be decided by a public vote on the JioHotstar app, with voting open until September 2, 2026. The show premieres on September 6 on Colors TV and JioHotstar. Salman Khan announced the two contenders in a promo. This is the second time the show is using the Fans Ka Faisla format: during Bigg Boss 19, YouTuber Mridul Tiwari won a similar vote and entered the house. Deccan Herald reports Rhiya was praised for standing her ground during the Gen Z protest. Times Now and ABP Live detail the voting process.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

All four sources report the same basic facts. Bollywood Hungama gives the most context on the protest photo that made Rhiya Ahir viral, while Deccan Herald frames her as having been praised for courage. ABP Live and Times Now focus on the voting mechanics and the premiere date. No source criticises the show or the contestants. The coverage is uniform straight reporting. The key development to watch is the vote result on September 2, which will decide whether a protest figure or a Punjabi actress enters the house.
