# Rishabh Pant asks Uttarakhand CM to help him buy land, shift base

India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has appealed to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for help acquiring land in the state, saying he wants to move his base from Delhi. In a post on X around midnight on Saturday, Pant said he has been trying for three years to find a suitable plot but described the process as a 'nightmare' due to lack of clarity. Pant clarified he is not asking for a free gift but wants to buy land from the government at applicable rates. His request comes days after he was named Uttarakhand's highest individual taxpayer for 2025-26, having paid Rs 23.84 crore in income tax. The 28-year-old is currently in Sri Lanka with the Indian Test team.
