India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has made a late-night appeal on X to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, asking for help to buy land in his home state. Pant, currently in Sri Lanka with the Test squad, said his three-year search for a suitable plot in Uttarakhand has become a “nightmare” and he wants to shift his base from Delhi. He clarified he is not seeking a free gift but wants to purchase land at official government rates. Chief Minister Dhami responded early on Saturday, calling Pant the pride of Uttarakhand and promising full cooperation. He said instructions have been issued to officials who will contact the cricketer soon. Pant, who represents Delhi in domestic cricket and recently rejoined Delhi Capitals in the IPL, has long maintained ties with his birthplace, Roorkee.
