At the Mumbai music launch of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, Rukmini Vasanth described her character Mellisa as unlike any role she has played before. She said the film’s scale, expansive world and morally complex characters drew her to the project. Vasanth also spoke about her curiosity over Mellisa’s place in the story and her relationships with its other characters. Directed by Geetu Mohandas and led by Yash, Toxic stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi alongside Vasanth. The film is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026. Tupaki.com also featured Vasanth in a yellow dress at the launch.
