Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the pan-Indian film revolves around red sanders smuggling in Tamil Nadu, a topic distinct from Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, according to telugucinema.com. Sai Pallavi plays IPS Nithya Reddy, a former Assistant Superintendent of Police in Andhra Pradesh who has been promoted to Additional Superintendent at the CBI to work with Interpol on an operation titled Om. Cinemaexpress.com and The Hindi report she is investigating the smuggling of red sanders or sandalwood. The film also stars Sreeleela, Sanjay Swaroop, Naseeruddin Shah in his Tamil debut, and is produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films along with Shraddha Agrawal and Azmat Jagmag. Om is set for a theatrical release on 20 November 2026. ## Indian Opinion Analysis All three outlets cover the character reveal with uniform straight reporting, attributing the same facts: Nithya Reddy’s police rank, her CBI-Interpol role, the smuggling plot, and the release date. The Hindu adds a brief aside on Sai Pallavi’s upcoming Ramayana: Part 1, but that does not shift the story’s neutral frame. Cinemaexpress.com alone notes that Nithya Reddy is the daughter of a martyred IFS officer, a detail the other two omit, but the omission does not introduce a slant. The coverage is substantively identical across sources, with no pro-government or critical framing evident. The concrete next step is the film’s release on 20 November. ## Coverage Coverage: 3 sources, 3 neutral - telugucinema.com (neutral report) Straight character reveal with minimal embellishment - cinemaexpress.com (neutral report) Adds backstory of martyred father, but no slant - thehindu.com (neutral report) Neutral wire-style coverage, adds Sai's upcoming films This brief was synthesised by AI from the 3 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
