# Salman Khan breaks down on Bigg Boss 20 set hearing father’s song 2026-11-08T06:26:12+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was seen emotional on the sets of ‘Bigg Boss 20’ during the Diwali special episode, after singer Mohit Chauhan sang a song from his father Salim Khan’s film ‘Bachpan’. A promo released on Saturday, 7 November, showed Chauhan telling Salman he is a fan of his father and then singing ‘Mujhe Tumse Mohabbat Hai, Magar Main Keh Nahin Sakta’, which left Salman in tears. Both Aaj Tak and TV9 Hindi report that the full episode, to be aired on Sunday, 8 November, will reveal the complete reason for Salman’s emotional reaction. The singer praised Salman’s songs before requesting to sing the lines from the film written and acted in by his father. This is not the first time Salman has become teary-eyed on the show, he had broken down in 2025 remembering late actor Dharmendra. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both Aaj Tak and TV9 Hindi cover the incident as a sentimental celebrity moment, offering near-identical factual accounts: singer Mohit Chauhan performed a song from Salim Khan’s film, causing Salman Khan to cry on the ‘Bigg Boss 20’ stage. Neither outlet adds any critical or political framing, the tone is uniformly sympathetic, focusing on the father-son bond and past instances of Salman’s emotional displays. The coverage is effectively straight reporting of a promo event, with the full story deferred to the episode airing Sunday night. The only meaningful difference is that Aaj Tak mentions last year’s reaction to Dharmendra’s death, while TV9 Hindi provides more detail about the film and song itself. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - aajtak.in (neutral report) Straight reporting of emotional moment, with context of past incident - tv9hindi.com (neutral report) Factual account of promo, adds detail on film and song This brief was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
