# Salman Khan helps body double Parvez Kazi after heart surgery 2026-08-25T08:33:12+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Salman Khan has stepped in to support his longtime body double Parvez Kazi, who underwent minor heart surgery earlier this month. Kazi fell unwell at home on August 6 and was admitted to hospital after tests, his manager Piyush told India Today. Once Khan learned of the health scare, he personally ensured Kazi received proper medical care and treatment. Kazi, who has worked as Khan's body double on films including Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, is now recovering well. His manager said Khan treats Kazi like a younger brother and helped immediately. The health scare briefly raised concerns about the shoot for Khan's upcoming pan-India film Monster, but Kazi is expected to return to the sets after a few days of rest. The team has adjusted the stunt schedule and is taking extra precautions for his safety. Monster is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and is slated for Eid 2027 release. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Bollywood body doubles, often invisible on screen, face high physical risk during action-heavy shoots but rarely receive the institutional safety nets that stars do. Khan's personal intervention highlights the informal patronage system that governs much of the industry's lower rungs: a star's goodwill, not a studio policy, determines whether a crew member gets timely care. Monster, which reportedly recreates an Afghan village and uses a Korean action team, involves large-scale stunts that could pose further risk when Kazi returns. The film's Eid 2027 release window gives the team time to adjust schedules. Whether the production adopts formal safety protocols for stunt performers beyond this case will be worth watching. ## Coverage - hindustantimes.com Leads with Khan's help, reports manager's quotes and shoot impact without editorializing This story was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
