# Sambhal admin reclaims 137 bigha of govt land, removes crops

Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal administration on Wednesday freed 137 bigha of government land in Chandausi tehsil's Baniatheer area. Revenue records showed the land was marked as ponds, lakes, and plantations. People had illegally occupied it and were growing crops. After notices to vacate, the administration deployed bulldozers and JCB machines to clear the crops and reclaim the land. District magistrate Ankit Khandelwal ordered the action after complaints. The team included SDM Ashutosh Tiwari, tehsildars, and revenue officials. Police were present for security. Officials said the drive against illegal occupation of government land will continue.
