# SAMEER opens applications for 140 project posts in Mumbai 2026-11-05T05:53:15+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER) has invited online applications for 140 contractual project positions across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Vacancies include Project Fellow, Project Scientist, Project Engineer, Project Associate, Project Scientific Assistant, Project Technical Assistant, Project Manager and Project Executive roles. Candidates with Ph.D., M.Tech., B.E./B.Tech., M.Sc., MBA, Diploma, B.Sc., B.Com., B.A. or ITI qualifications can apply depending on the post. Consolidated monthly remuneration ranges from Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 55,000. Online applications opened on 4 November and will close on 15 November 2026 at 11:59 PM through recruitment.sameer.gov.in. The posts are purely contractual for a maximum of two years or project duration, whichever is earlier, and do not offer a right to permanent employment. Selection will involve post-specific written tests, online or in-person interviews and skill tests, with written exams starting 22 November and in-person interviews proposed for 14 December 2026. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The 140 contractual positions at SAMEER cover a wide hierarchy from Project Fellow to Project Manager, but every post carries a fixed tenure of two years or project duration, with no path to permanent employment. This structure suits time-bound research projects but leaves candidates without job security or regularisation after the contract ends. The application window closes on 15 November, and written tests and interviews are scheduled through December, with a proposed in-person interview date of 14 December 2026. Applicants should track the recruitment portal for post-specific selection stages, as the process varies by category. ## Coverage - freejobalert.com Straight job listing with no editorial slant This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
