Telugu film Shanarthi was officially launched at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad, with Akhil Raj and Naga Durga in the lead roles. Sampath Nandi Teamworks and Sri Dhanalakshmi Productions are jointly producing the film, presented by Aditya Movies. Raj Ganesh Uppunooti, a protégé of Sampath Nandi, is making his directorial debut. Set against rural Telangana, the film carries the tagline A Tale of Culture. Suresh Bobbili will compose the music, and regular shooting is expected to begin soon. The title Shanarthi is described by multiple outlets as a traditional Telangana greeting. Its first-look poster shows two hands, turmeric and red colours, bangles and sacred threads.
