# Samsung launches Galaxy A08 with 6,000mAh battery at Rs 18,499 2026-10-04T12:01:31+00:00 | Technology | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Samsung has launched the Galaxy A08, a budget smartphone priced at Rs 18,499 for the single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The phone features a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G99+ processor, and a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The device includes a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, along with an 8MP front camera. Samsung promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the model, which also supports AI features including Circle to Search 3.0, Google Gemini, and Perplexity. The phone is available in Dark Blue, Green, and Silver colours. Sales have started at Samsung exclusive stores, major retail outlets, the company website, and online platforms. Samsung is offering no-cost EMI for up to six months on select bank cards and easy instalments for up to nine months through NBFC partners. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The Galaxy A08's six-year software commitment is unusual for a budget phone and directly addresses the common complaint that affordable devices become obsolete quickly. Samsung is betting that long-term update support will justify the Rs 18,499 price in a segment where rivals often offer higher specs but shorter lifecycles. The phone's 6,000mAh battery and 50MP camera are standard for the range, so the software promise is the key differentiator. Whether buyers will prioritise longevity over raw specifications will determine the model's success in the market. ## Coverage - tv9hindi.com Straight product launch coverage with no political or ideological framing.
