# Samsung unveils 200MP ISOCELL HPC sensor for better low-light photos

Samsung has announced the ISOCELL HPC, a new 200-megapixel smartphone camera sensor that introduces DeepPix pixel architecture. The sensor, now in mass production, boosts light capture by increasing each pixel's full well capacity by 60% compared to the previous generation. It supports single-frame 16-bit HDR recording across 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, and 4x zoom levels and can shoot video at up to 4K 180fps or FHD 360fps. Samsung says the design uses High Transmittance ARL and High Precision Microlens to improve colour accuracy and image clarity. The company adds that the expanded HDR processor delivers four times more colour information than conventional HDR. The sensor also features Super QPD autofocus and burst shooting at multiple resolutions.
