# Prabhas-Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’ sets Hyderabad backdrop, fans worry 2026-08-21T23:06:28+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets (8 source reports) Rebel Star Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's most-awaited film 'Spirit' is set against a Hyderabad backdrop, producer Pranay Reddy Vanga confirmed in a recent interview, sparking concern among fans on social media. Fans worry how a pan-India hero being portrayed as a Hyderabadi will be received by audiences. 123telugu.com reports that Sandeep's trademark drama and characterization are expected to be the film's main strength, noting his previous film 'Animal' was also set in a single city backdrop and made a pan-India impact. The film, starring Tripti Dimri as the female lead, is being prepared for a March 5, 2027 release. Meanwhile, another Prabhas project, 'Fauji', directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is in its final shooting stages, with buzz that Prabhas has given a green signal to another new story from the same director. tupaki.com reports that 'Fauji' has impressed Prabhas with its depth and emotional content, leading to a possible repeat collaboration, likely produced by Hombale Films or Mythri Movie Makers. Prabhas also has 'Kalki 2', 'Salaar 2', and 'Spirit' lined up, according to tupaki.com, which notes that his busy schedule with multiple pan-India projects is taking Telugu cinema to a global level. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both 123telugu.com and tupaki.com report on Prabhas' upcoming projects in a promotional, hype-building style, typical of Telugu film trade coverage. 123telugu.com leads with fan anxiety over the Hyderabad setting of 'Spirit', framing it as a concern, but immediately downplays it by citing Sandeep Reddy Vanga's track record. Tupaki.com's coverage of the 'Fauji' repeat collaboration is entirely based on unconfirmed 'buzz' and 'film nagar circles', presented as near-certainty. Both outlets avoid any critical examination of the films' prospects. A careful reader should note the lack of official confirmation on the Hanu Raghavapudi project and the heavily speculative nature of the reports. Watch for official announcements from the production houses involved. ## Coverage Coverage: 8 sources, 1 government-critical, 2 neutral, 5 sensationalist - 123telugu.com (sensationalist) Leads with fan anxiety over Hyderabad backdrop to generate drama. - 123telugu.com (2) (sensationalist) Frames Vashishta's statement as a viral controversy. - 123telugu.com (3) (neutral report) Reports OTT partner lock for 'Irumudi' without drama. - tupaki.com (sensationalist) Headline and tone hype 'Sankranthi buzz' four months early. - tupaki.com (2) (neutral report) Reports Zuckerberg castle purchase with market estimates and netizen reactions. - tupaki.com (3) (sensationalist) Frames unconfirmed 'buzz' about Prabhas-Hanu project as breaking news. - tupaki.com (4) (government critical) Frames DMK's car rejection as political trouble for CM Vijay. - tupaki.com (5) (sensationalist) Dramatises Tollywood box office as 'struggling' despite citing hits.
