# Sarfaraz Khan replaces injured Sai Sudharsan for Sri Lanka Tests

Sarfaraz Khan has been called up to India's Test squad for the two-match series against Sri Lanka, replacing Sai Sudharsan who is out with a toe stress fracture. Sudharsan suffered the injury during India A's tour of Sri Lanka last month and is recovering at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The BCCI confirmed Sudharsan has made significant progress but is not fit for the series starting August 15 in Galle. The 28-year-old Sarfaraz, who last played a Test against New Zealand in 2024, posted pictures on social media wearing India's travel jersey, including one with his father. He has scored 372 runs in six Tests and averages 64.73 in first-class cricket with 17 centuries. He will join the squad in Colombo before travelling to Galle.
