Introduced in October 2022, the service lets patients register for OPD consultation by scanning a QR code at participating hospitals via an ABDM-enabled health app, eliminating paperwork and reducing waiting time. It is now available in 30,800 hospitals across 36 states and Union Territories and 756 districts, says the National Health Authority. Bihar leads with over 7.3 crore digital registrations, followed by Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
