Shahneel Gill has been eliminated from The Traitors Season 2 after private detective Tanya Puri exposed a slip in her story. Krystle D'Souza had been under suspicion but Tanya asked both women about the letters they received. Krystle defended herself convincingly while Shahneel said she could not remember details, failing to satisfy the group. The contestants voted to remove her. Before leaving, Shahneel said she was "the most innocent traitor" and had made lasting friendships. Her exit follows last week's elimination of traitor Kullu by the innocents. Rida Tharana is now the new traitor placed in hiding among the remaining 12 contestants. The surviving players include Krystle Dsouza, Tanya Puri, Shweta Tiwari, Ansh Chopra, Ikka Singh, Shalini Passi, Dalip Tahil, Mallika Sherawat, Rhea Chakraborty, Prish, Sahil Salathia and Rida Tharana. New episodes stream every Thursday on Prime Video.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

The betrayal format that drives shows like The Traitors is a proven ratings engine in the reality TV genre, where trust among contestants is weaponised. Karan Johar’s Hindi adaptation has drawn on the global franchise's rules, which task a hidden minority of 'traitors' with eliminating 'innocents' each episode without being detected. The remaining cast still contains several public figures whose eliminations would create significant social-media buzz, among them Mallika Sherawat and Rhea Chakraborty, both high-recall names for Indian streaming audiences. Prime Video will be watching whether the weekly Thursday drops sustain viewer engagement through the entire season, as reality competition shows live or die on their ability to keep the mystery alive one episode at a time.
