# Irumudi success meet: Ravi Teja, Shiva Nirvana celebrate film’s win 2026-08-24T22:31:35+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Ravi Teja and director Shiva Nirvana celebrated the success of their film Irumudi at a meet in Hyderabad on Sunday. The actor said his daughter Moksha cried after watching it and that the film made him weep despite having a heart of stone. He credited the director for believing in the content and keeping its soul intact. Shiva Nirvana returned the praise, saying Ravi Teja gave him complete creative freedom. "When stars give a free hand to directors, we will see these kinds of results," he said. Actor Vijay Deverakonda called the film a "must watch" and said it created a glorious atmosphere in Telugu cinema halls. The film stars Ravi Teja as an alcoholic father who undertakes Ayyappa Deeksha for his daughter. Irumudi marks a needed hit for both the actor and director after recent films failed. Ravi Teja said watching rooted Tamil and Malayalam films during COVID inspired him to make similar content in Telugu. The film continues its theatrical run across Telugu states. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both sources report the same success meet, but Hindustan Times leads with Vijay Deverakonda's praise and background on other films, expanding the story beyond the event itself. TeluguCinema.com stays tightly on the meet, quoting Ravi Teja's emotional remarks and the director crediting creative freedom. Neither source adopts a critical or political slant, the difference is scope, not stance. The industry attention signals Irumudi's recovery momentum after recent flops for both lead and director, which Hindustan Times explicitly notes. Watch whether the film sustains its box office run through the coming week. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - telugucinema.com (neutral report) Leads with event details and director crediting creative freedom - hindustantimes.com (neutral report) Leads with Vijay Deverakonda's praise and industry context This brief was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
