# Rajasthan hotelier shot, dies in ambulance crash on way to hospital

A hotel operator in Rajasthan's Nagaur district died after being accidentally shot by a liquor trader and then perishing in an ambulance crash. Police say Ram Kumar, 40, was shot around 3:30 am Friday at Neelkanth Hotel in Kharnal village when acquaintance Mahipal Bishnoi allegedly mishandled a country-made pistol. Officers deny any argument over delayed food service. While being taken to a Jodhpur hospital, the ambulance hit a stray animal near Khimsar and overturned. Kumar died in the crash. The driver and two others were injured. Police are searching for Bishnoi and have sent the weapon for forensic analysis to confirm the shot was accidental.
