# Shot while pregnant, mother sees daughter graduate 18 years later

In May, Miracle Tisdale graduated from a Catholic high school in Los Angeles as her mother Rose Smith watched. Smith was shot four times while three months pregnant in 2007, with doctors giving a 50-50 chance the baby would survive. The child was named Miracle. Now 18, Miracle plans to become a registered nurse at California State University, Fullerton. She helped her mother, who uses a wheelchair, with daily tasks since elementary school. The shooting remains unsolved.
