To provide exposure to law students, Karnatak University Sir Siddappa Kambali Law College (KUSSK), Dharwad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SCLRSEA, VDMS Private Limited., Mangaluru. The MoU will facilitate internship, training programs, and placement opportunities for students.
The MoU was signed at a formal function at the college in Dharwad recently. The event coincided with the alumni gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, senior advocate A.C. Chalalabbi, emphasised the importance of such MoUs in the current legal education scenario. Collaborations with reputed organisations would help students bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional requirements, he said.
Manager (Legal & Operations) at SCLREA, VDMS Private Limited Manish Salani briefed about the placement opportunities available to law students. Outlining the eligibility criteria, he called on students to prepare for a dynamic legal career through active participation in training initiatives.
Syndicate Member of Karnatak University and Governing Council Member of KUSSK Law College Robert Daddapuri said that the alumni of the institution were now practicing in the Supreme Court, and serving as judges in High Courts and the Supreme Court.
Principal Prof. Manjula S.R. presided over the programme. Prof. Shashirekha Malagi and Senior advocate K.S. Korishettet were among those present.
