Actor Siddharth said he does not need anyone's permission to speak on national issues, as he and Dia Mirza backed students protesting at Jantar Mantar. The CJP protest demanded Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation and education reforms after the NEET paper leak. In an interview with News18, Siddharth said the youth will always raise their voice without needing advice. Dia Mirza wrote on Instagram that the protest sought accountability and transparency, and criticised the use of force on peaceful protesters. Both actors star together in the film 'Operation Safed Sagar'.
