Speaking at the Tendong Lho Rum Faat festival on Saturday, he also said Hee-Gyathang Senior Secondary School in Dzongu will be developed as a Chief Minister's Model School. The government has sought inclusion of Lepcha, Bhutia and Limboo languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution. Tamang said 166 Lepcha students received higher education aid under the Chief Minister's Education Assistance Scheme. He also announced collaboration with UNESCO to document Ru-Soam, the traditional cane and bamboo bridge-making tradition.
