Raids over the past two weeks covered facilities in Kolkata, Howrah, East Burdwan, West Burdwan, Nadia and North Dinajpur. Officials said plasma was found to have been sold to entities in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, among other States. Around 11 blood banks have been barred from organising donation camps since August 1, though they can still collect blood at their centres. Health Minister Sharadwat Mukherjee said donors at one camp received prohibited incentives, including fans, mixer grinders, clocks and cash.
