A Central Crime Branch raid at Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Prison has unearthed a smartphone from the high-security cell of rape convict and former MP Prajwal Revanna. India Today reports that the phone contained 80-90 downloaded pornographic videos, while Times of India says it had social media and OTT apps including WhatsApp, Instagram, and Netflix. Hindustan Times adds that Revanna was found wearing civilian clothes instead of prison uniform. The state prisons chief described the incident as an embarrassment and has suspended assistant superintendent Iranna Rangapur.
