# Sopore hosts Tonga Tiranga rally ahead of Independence Day

Sopore held a Tonga Tiranga rally on Friday as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of Independence Day. Additional Deputy Commissioner S.A. Raina and Additional Superintendent of Police Safaraz Bashir flagged off the rally from Chankhan Bridge. Government employees, traders, students, young people and other residents joined the procession. Decorated tongas carrying the National Flag moved through the town before the rally concluded at Fruit Mandi. Officials urged participants to respect the flag and said such public participation supported unity, peace and national integration.
