# Sopore’s Tujar Sharief Urs draws thousands of devotees

Greater Kashmir reports that thousands of devotees gathered at Peth Astaan, Tujar Sharief in Sopore for the 548th Urs-e-Pak of Hazrat Makhdoom Sahib. The 13-day observance, which began on 13 Safar-ul-Muzaffar, will continue till 25 Safar. Sacred Tabarukaat, including a Holy Quran, Kamar Band Sharief, Qulah-e-Mubarak, Tasbeeh Dana and Kanga Sharief, were displayed, drawing large crowds. SSP Sopore Iftikhar Talib and other police officials visited to review traffic, crowd and security arrangements. Police, civil administration and Awqaaf Committee volunteers coordinated the event. Chairman of the Awqaaf Committee thanked all involved. The congregation concluded peacefully.
