The wife and son of the deceased remain critically injured in SMS Hospital. Police said the car, travelling from Chauradiya petrol pump towards Sangasetu culvert, hit the family with such force that all four were flung several metres. The driver allegedly struck six other vehicles while fleeing. Police apprehended him near Haldighati Gate in Pratap Nagar after setting up a blockade.
