Spider-Man: Brand New Day collected an estimated ₹0.52 crore on Day 17 (Wednesday) as its third-week pace slowed sharply, businesstoday.in reports. After a strong start on July 30, the film earned ₹334.75 crore net in Week 1 and ₹108.65 crore in Week 2, taking its two-week total to ₹443.40 crore net. However, arrivals of Awarapan 2 and Batwara 1947 for the Independence Day weekend have cut its screen count. Awarapan 2 opened at ₹27 crore on Day 1, Emraan Hashmi’s biggest opener, while Batwara 1947 lagged behind. Despite the slowdown, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has already crossed ₹500 crore gross in India, surpassing Avatar: The Way of Water to become the highest-grossing Hollywood film in the country. Sacnilk estimates it could finish around ₹575 crore gross, but sustaining the pace will be tough with fewer screens and strong Bollywood competition.
