# Sree Vishnu’s Comrade Kalyan to release on October 9, 2026

Sree Vishnu’s period action film Comrade Kalyan will reach theatres worldwide on October 9, 2026, its makers announced on Independence Day. The release falls ahead of the Dussehra holiday season. Directed by Janakiram Marella, the film is set against the Andhra-Odisha border in 1992 and features Mahima Nambiar as the female lead. A new poster shows Sree Vishnu as a rugged revolutionary figure walking through a forest with a rifle and red scarf. Radhika Sarathkumar, Shine Tom Chacko, Upendra Limaye, Satya and Mukku Avinash are also part of the cast. Vijay Bulganin has composed the music, with two songs released so far. The film is produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati under Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP and presented by Kona Venkat.
