# Sreeshankar wins second straight Commonwealth Games long jump silver

Murali Sreeshankar won silver in the men’s long jump at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on July 29, defending the runner-up finish he achieved in Birmingham in 2022. His best effort of 8.09 metres came in the second round. Jamaica’s Tajay Gayle won gold with 8.15m, while Scotland’s Stephen Mackenzie took bronze with 8.08m.
