# Muralitharan, Vettori helped rebuild my career: Zeeshan Ansari 2026-08-24T20:22:36+00:00 | Sports | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets (3 source reports) Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner Zeeshan Ansari has credited spin greats Muttiah Muralitharan and Daniel Vettori for his red-ball cricket comeback. The 26-year-old, a member of India's 2016 Under-19 batch, saw his career lose momentum before his IPL stint with SRH last year gave it a fresh push. Ansari followed up with a strong Vijay Hazare Trophy for Uttar Pradesh, nearly five years after his last Ranji Trophy appearance, and earned an India A call-up. He is now set to play for Central Zone in the Duleep Trophy. Ansari is currently the leading wicket-taker in the UP T20 League with 14 wickets from six matches for the unbeaten Meerut Mavericks. He has also been guided by veteran spinner Piyush Chawla during the league. 'I want to do well in Duleep Trophy,' he said. ## Indian Opinion Analysis All three sources carry the same PTI wire copy, presenting Ansari's comeback story as a straightforward positive narrative. There is no government angle or ideological slant. The coverage is uniform straight reporting on a cricketer's career turnaround. The key takeaway is Ansari's transition from T20 form to red-ball cricket, with his Duleep Trophy performance being the next concrete milestone to track. ## Coverage Coverage: 3 sources, 3 neutral - sports.ndtv.com (neutral report) Wire copy with no slant, just the player's quotes - sports.ndtv.com (2) (neutral report) Same wire copy, adds full names of spin legends - rediff.com (neutral report) Same wire copy with added bullet points and image credit This story was synthesised by AI from the 3 sources linked above.
