# Sri Lanka XI reach 246/4 against India on warm-up day one

Sri Lanka Cricket XI reached 246 for four by tea on the opening day of their three-day warm-up match against India in Colombo on Friday, Sportstar reports. Ravindu Rasantha made 71 before Manav Suthar dismissed him, while Pasindu Sooriyabandara scored 35 and was bowled by Ravindra Jadeja. Pavan Rathnayake added 39 before Gurnoor Brar removed him. Earlier, Nishan Madushka was run out for 66, with Sri Lanka XI reaching 138 for one at lunch after choosing to bat. India captain Shubman Gill missed the first day after injuring his right ring finger during practice, according to the BCCI statement reported by Rediff.com. KL Rahul led India in his absence. The match at the Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground precedes India’s two-Test series in Sri Lanka, beginning on August 15.
