# Standard Engineering shares rise 3% after Q1 profit jumps 26%

Standard Engineering shares opened at Rs 288.35 on Friday, up from Rs 274.65, after the company reported April-June results. The stock reached an intraday high of Rs 288.35, close to its lifetime high. Net profit rose 26% year on year to Rs 26.3 crore in the first quarter of FY27, from Rs 20.87 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations increased to Rs 247.69 crore from Rs 226.67 crore in the previous quarter. EBITDA rose 27.3% year on year to Rs 44.1 crore, while the margin held at 17.5%. Livemint notes that a reported June-quarter revenue figure of Rs 17,307.40 crore appears inconsistent and needs verification. The company also invested Rs 71 crore for a 19% stake in Japan’s GL Hakko.
