A 15-year-old high school student was found dead in Talikot town of Vijayapura district on Monday.
Some students found the body of Madivalappa Chabanura near a private school.
The ninth standard student hailed from Boragi village. He was studying in Talikot.
The parents of the student told the police that the death was suspicious and sought an inquiry.
Officers from the Talikot Police Station visited the spot and carried out investigation.
The body was sent for post-mortem. A case has been registered.
