AI-music generator Suno has struck a partnership and preemptive settlement with BMG, the fourth-largest music company, covering both recorded music and publishing. The deal resolves claims over Suno's past use of BMG's music in training data, with artists and songwriters required to opt in for future uses and get paid. Suno says new models built with industry partners are coming soon. The company previously settled with Warner Music Group in November 2024.
