Tamil Nadu says the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee directed Karnataka to release 3,500 cusecs daily for 15 days from July 29, but flows at Biligundlu were only 158 to 550 cusecs between July 29 and August 2. The state claims Karnataka’s reservoirs held 77.537 TMC on August 3 and that 26.954 TMC should reach Biligundlu, against the 4.536 TMC allocation approved by the CWMA.
