# Withdraw FCRA Bill or send it to JPC, Supriya Sule tells Centre

NCP (SP) working president Supriya Sule has urged the Centre to withdraw the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, or refer it to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). Speaking on Saturday, she said one cannot always view foreign funding with suspicion, comparing it to money sent home by Indians abroad. She cautioned against rushing the bill through Parliament, where it is expected to be taken up for discussion next week. DMK chief MK Stalin also met Christian bishops and minority representatives in Chennai and backed the demand for withdrawal. Times Now reports Stalin has separately urged the government to withdraw the bill and repeal Section 15 of the FCRA Act. The NCP (SP) has said all its Lok Sabha MPs will seek an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on other issues.
