Rajya Sabha was adjourned for 21 minutes on Wednesday after CPI(M) MP John Brittas accused BJP MP Sushmita Dev of calling him 'lungiwala' during Monday's proceedings. Opposition MPs staged a protest at Parliament's entrance, with some wearing mundu to highlight unity in diversity. Dev denied the allegation, saying she had not cast aspersions on any state's attire. 'Neither I nor any members have cast aspersions on any state's attire,' she said. Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan advised members not to hurt cultural sentiments. Leader of the House J.P. Nadda offered to mediate between the two MPs.
