# Suspended sub-registrar arrested in Palani mutt land fraud case

CB-CID on Thursday arrested suspended sub-registrar Justin Manikandan Subramanian for the fraudulent registration of a Rs100 crore, 1.4-acre land belonging to the Arulmigu Dhandapani Swamigal madam in Palani, Dindigul district. The arrest came a day after the Madras high court dismissed his anticipatory bail plea. Subramanian was caught hiding in a house in Kodaikanal. CB-CID also searched the home of another accused, Jeyaprakash, in Oddanchatram and questioned his family. The court had earlier said granting anticipatory bail to both would hamper the investigation. Jeyaprakash remains absconding.
