# BJP-led states hold Tiranga Yatras across India ahead of I-Day

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari led the BJP government's second Tiranga Yatra in Kolkata ahead of Independence Day. Ministers, officials, MLAs, students and ISKCON devotees participated. Adhikari called the march part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mission to promote unity and patriotism and urged a larger event on August 15. In Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined BJP national president Nitin Nabin in a Tiranga Yatra on Kartavya Path Wednesday. Gupta appealed to residents to hoist the Tricolour at home and post pictures on social media. The BJP has been holding such yatras across the capital before Independence Day.
