Deliveries are expected to start in early 2028. The order is SDHI’s fourth consecutive export contract, following a global shipyard evaluation. The TRAnsverse 3200 tugs will be built to Bureau Veritas class for harbour towage and escort duties. SDHI and Svitzer say the vessels will provide an 80-tonne bollard pull, use up to 15% less fuel than conventional designs, meet IMO Tier III emissions standards, be biofuel-ready and carry FiFi1 firefighting systems.
