The investigation drew on 9,804 complaints involving more than Rs 545 crore in fraudulent transactions. Officers also seized 204 mobile phones and storage devices, cash and bank documents. National figures placed before the Lok Sabha show the wider scale of the crackdown. India has identified 32.08 lakh suspected mule accounts and stopped transactions worth Rs 25,698 crore, India Today reports. Authorities have also blocked 3,718 apps, 15.75 lakh SIM cards and 5.77 lakh IMEI numbers.
