# TCS denies data breach, says employee info leak alert is old

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Monday confirmed it received threat-intelligence alerts about a potential exposure of some employee information. The IT major stated its investigation found no evidence of a systems breach or customer data compromise. TCS said the information in the alerts appears to be over four years old and limited to basic employee data. The company added it has had strong safeguards against the alleged attack methods, password spray and MFA fatigue, for more than two years. TCS shares closed nearly 1% lower on the BSE despite the denial.
