# Poco M8x launched in India at Rs 20,999, vivo V80 Lite with 10,000mAh battery set for September 3 debut 2026-08-21T10:46:47+00:00 | Technology | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets (4 source reports) Poco has launched the M8x in India at Rs 20,999, making it the first smartphone in the country with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset. It has a 6.9-inch HD+ 120Hz LCD, a 7,900mAh battery with 45W charging, and a 50MP rear camera. It runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and will get four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. It goes on sale from August 27 on Flipkart. Separately, vivo has confirmed the V80 Lite 5G will launch in Malaysia on September 3 with a 10,000mAh battery, a 50MP rear camera, and flat-frame design in black, green, and pink. The Indian variant may be a rebranded vivo S2. Meanwhile, tipster reports suggest Poco may also launch an X8 Power with a 10,000mAh battery, possibly a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. The Pova 8 Pro 5G, with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, 144Hz AMOLED screen, rear Alive Matrix Display, and a 6,500mAh battery, is already on sale in India. ## Indian Opinion Analysis All four sources are product-launch or leak stories, with straight reporting on specifications, pricing, and availability. There is no government angle, no opposition figure, and no ideological framing. The coverage is uniform wire-style copy. The implication for the reader is intense price-segment competition: vivo and Poco are both chasing the ultra-large-battery niche (10,000mAh teased for two models, 7,900mAh for the M8x), and MediaTek and Snapdragon chipsets are matched against each other at the Rs 21,000-23,000 level. Watch whether vivo delivers the promised 10,000mAh battery in India (September 3 launch) and whether Poco actually launches the X8 Power with the same capacity, the first brand to ship a 10,000mAh phone at this price will have a strong first-mover advantage in the hard-gamer segment. ## Coverage Coverage: 4 sources, 4 neutral - gadgets360.com (neutral report) Straight product-launch reporting, no political slant - gsmarena.com (neutral report) Rumour report of a future model, no slant - gsmarena.com (2) (neutral report) Launch announcement, straight reporting, no slant - gsmarena.com (3) (neutral report) Release story with full specs and pricing, neutral This story was synthesised by AI from the 4 sources linked above.
