The incident happened on the morning of August 5 when the homeowner, Balram Tiwari, woke up after his wife raised an alarm and saw the thief escaping through a window. Tiwari and his son Satyam chased the boy, yelling 'chor, chor', and plain-clothes police caught him on the main road. Police recovered jewellery and electronics worth Rs 2.7 lakh from the teen. He told them his associate Laxman, 19, has the rest of the stolen goods. Both boys live on the pavement near Mira Road station.
